Recorded footage can be exported using the Export button on the timeline:
This will then open the export dialog. You can chose the start and end time of the video you want to export, enter a note to help you identify the video when it has been exported, and chose whether you want the high defintion or standard definition stream to be exported.
When you are ready, press Export Now to begin the recording export:
When your recording has finished exporting, it will be available in the Archives section in the top menu bar.
You can click on the exported recording to play it back, download it or delete it:
Exported recordings are stored as an MP4 video which should be playable in most standard video players such as VLC Media Player.
When exporting footage from the Edge Controller, there are limits on the maximum amount of footage you can export in one go. We are working to increase these limits but at the moment it is approximately 1 hour for high definition footage, and 12 hours for standard definition footage.
Exports are processed in a queue, so there is no problem in exporting mutliple recordings chunks at a time.
If you need to export multiple days of recordings, please contact Giraffe support for your options.
Exporting your recording may take a while especially if it is a big file. If the internet is slow, it could take a couple of hours to upload.
